Sale of Barcode Juan Monitor in Isfahan
Barcodes are used to encode information in the form of image patterns that can be read by barcode reader devices. They are used for various reasons including inventory management, product price calculation and product information storage in computer software system. Nowadays, barcodes can be found on almost all products in stores and also on goods kept in warehouses. In addition to small businesses, large businesses such as industrial factories also use barcodes and scanners.
Types of barcodes
Generally, barcodes are divided into two categories: linear or one-dimensional barcodes and two-dimensional barcodes
The most widely used type of one-dimensional barcodes are UPC (Universal Product Code) barcodes, which consist of two parts. And: barcode symbols and 12-digit UPC code. The first six digits of the barcode are the manufacturer's identification number and the next five digits are the product number. The last number is called the check digit, which allows the scanner to check whether the scanning operation was done correctly or not. Linear barcodes usually contain any type of textual information.
On the other hand, two-dimensional barcodes are more complex and can contain additional information such as website address, image and price. They can only be read by imaging scanners. One of the types of two-dimensional barcodes is the QR code.

How does a barcode reader work?
Simply speaking, scanners shine a red light on the barcode. The sensor detects the light reflected from the barcode and produces an analog signal with a variable voltage that indicates the intensity of the reflection. The converter converts the analog signal into a digital signal and sends it to the decoder. The decoder performs the calculations needed to interpret the signal, converts it into a text consisting of numbers and letters and sends it to the computer to which the scanner is connected for final analysis.
Scanner components
Radiation system: These systems emit the light needed to illuminate the barcode.
Sensor: The sensor detects the reflected light and creates an analog signal with different voltages. Since the black strips absorb the infrared rays, the light reflection by the white strips is more and the voltage increases and decreases based on this reflected light. The technology used in the sensors can be changed according to the radiation system of the scanner.
Decoder: As you know, the purpose of a barcode scanner is to scan and read barcode symbols. It is providing a digital output for the computer in the decoder and sending it through a cable. The decoder recognizes the type of barcode, then translates the black and white strips and transmits the information to the computer in a human-understandable format.
