Types of Coffee Mills
In the market, there are different types of coffee grinders, but their two main categories are:
1. Coffee Mill
Hand mills are divided into two categories: rotary mills and blade mills. In rotary mills, coffee beans are crushed between two rotating surfaces. These types of grinders are suitable for preparing small amounts of coffee and produce less noise. Blade grinders also grind coffee beans using metal blades. These types of mills are faster, but they may also make more noise.

2. Electric Coffee Mill
Electric mills are also divided into two categories: blade mills and tooth mills. Blade mills work similar to manual models, but due to the electric motor, they are faster. Tooth mills also grind coffee beans using rotating teeth.
3. Blade Grinder Mill
These types of grinders use sharp blades to grind coffee beans. Compared to cutting mills, they have a more reasonable price, but they may not be able to grind the seeds uniformly. A blade grinder is a good option for those who are new to coffee or have a limited budget.
4. Shear grinding or Burr Grinder
These mills are more expensive than blade models, but they have much better quality. In these mills, coffee beans are placed between two rough surfaces (burr) and by rotating one of the surfaces, the beans are ground. This mechanism provides a more uniform grind. The main types of Burr Grinders are conical and flat, with the conical type being more common.
