The glass in double-glazed doors and windows is one of the main parts, and like other parts, it is made for the purpose of insulation against sound, temperature and pollution. But beauty is also a very important factor that should be considered in the case of glass. Therefore, in the market of double-paned window glass production, there is variety in the design, color and material of the glass; Competition has become common, which leaves the hands of the buyer open for different tastes.
Double -walled glass glass
Simple double glazed glass (flute)
Plain or flute glass is the simplest type of glass that does not require any additional processes in its production. These glasses are more abundant due to their cheapness. The basic items of glass production are poured into the furnace until it reaches the melting point. After molding and producing the glass, it is floated in a pool of tin metal to make it completely smooth, clear and uniform. In double-glazed windows, two fluted glasses are placed side by side.
Security double glass
Toughened glass, which is known for its resistance, safety and toughness, is very efficient for use in double-glazed windows. The difference between tempered glass and plain glass is in the production process. When the glass is heated to the desired softness in the cup furnace, they cool the glass by blowing cold air to the surface below and above it. This process significantly increases the strength of the glass. So that its mechanical resistance in the same thickness is 5 to 10 times and its thermal resistance is 5 times more than ordinary glass. If the tempered glass is broken, it turns into small soft and non-brittle pieces. In comparison with ordinary glasses whose broken pieces are sharp and sword-like, they are very less dangerous.
Note: Tempered glass cannot be pierced and a change such as cutting can be made on it. Therefore, before tempering plain glass, the location of the screws and other size adjustments must be applied to it.
Double glazed glass
One of the most widely used glass for double-glazed windows is laminated glass. Laminated glass has a multi-layer structure of glass. Between each layer, a thin sheet of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) is placed, which makes the glass stronger. The example of laminated glass can be seen in the car and its windshield. Laminated glass cracks in place if broken. And it doesn't turn into small parts. Therefore, they are used a lot in double-glazed windows.
Matte
In double-glazed windows regardless of the type of glass; Different types of frosted glass are used to control the amount of incoming light, the beauty of the facade, and reduce visibility from the outside to the inside. Usually, ordinary glass is used in the inner part of the window and frosted glass is used in the outer part. Matte glass is completely the opposite of clear glass and has no transparency.
Types of matte glass
white frosted glass (plain)
Plain matte or white matte refers to glasses whose surface becomes heterogeneous and opaque during a process so that only light passes through it. Objects on the other side are seen as an unrecognizable halo. These glasses are produced in three separate categories.
1- Sandblasted matte glass: In the glass sandblasting process, the surface of the glass becomes uniformly uneven by high-pressure sand blasting and makes it matte.
2- Satin matte glass: Another type of glass matting is produced by using corrosive fluoric acid. This method is called Satina.
3- Stained glass: In this type of glass, prominent designs are placed on it for matting. Before, the glass of the toilet or bathroom was of this type. Glass is almost obsolete for main and double-glazed windows.
Snow matte glass
Snow frosted glass can be called the simplest kind of frosted glass. The surface of this glass is uneven in the same cup or container in the factory. This glass is mostly used for places where beauty is not important. For example, as a partition separating different parts of an office building. These glasses are rarely used for front or double-glazed windows. It has a cheap price and its resistance is also low.
Colored matte glass
The color of frosted glass is considered a decorative advantage and makes the look and effect of the window more beautiful according to people's taste. Frosted glass can be colored in several ways. You can use one-color glass available in the market called shiny glass or Lakobel. You can even use matting colored film or stickers for glass.
Patterned glass
Opaque glass can be patterned in different ways. For example, if the glass is frosted by sandblasting, before sand is sprinkled on it, the parts where the design is to be created are covered with glue. Even in some cases, professional laser designs are engraved on the glass and create a luxurious and artistic work.

Reflex Double Glass (Mirror)
Reflective glass reflects a large part of the light. The performance of this glass depends on the intensity of light. Whichever side of the glass has more light, the glass will act like a mirror and the space behind will no longer be visible. On the other hand, the side where the light is less, will easily see outside like normal glasses. Therefore, it is also called night and day glass; Because this window glass is invisible from the outside. Basically, in double-glazed windows, reflex glass is used in the outer part and its thickness is more than the inner glass.
Pattern
The visual element in home decoration is more important than in the past. Patterned double-glazed glass is a stylish way to beautify windows and its effect on the overall view of the building and interior decoration.
Decorative double glass
The space between the glass in double-glazed windows is empty. This space is a good place to design a double-glazed window. Placing aluminum profiles that have geometric, regular shapes and special styles such as classic, modern and minimal; It adds to the beauty of the window. Various types of decorative double-glazed windows in different designs and colors such as gold, wood design, slimy, flower and bush design... are available to buyers and can cover any taste.
Double -walled glass
These days, double-glazed windows with decorative flowers have become increasingly popular. A geometric pattern of one or more flowers is placed between the double-glazed windows and gives it a charming look. For the most popular decorative flower designs, we can mention the golden tulip, golden falcon, white ambassador, golden crown, white violet, and golden forfuge. We should know that the installation of decorative flowers is completely industrial and specialized and is purchased ready-made. Because its unprofessional installation can completely rule out the sealing and insulation of the glass.
