Signs to reach water in the well
The signs of reaching water in the well may be can be seen in different ways. In the following, we mention some of these signs.
1. Change the soil color
The ground around the water well usually gets a darker color due to more moisture. Therefore, if the soil becomes darker and wetter during the drilling of the well, you have probably reached water.
2. The smell of water
Water has a specific smell that is created due to the presence of organic and mineral substances in it. Therefore, if the smell of water is felt during the drilling of the well, there is probably water in that part.
3. The existence of wet rocks
In most cases, water is denser than rocks, so if you come across rocks that are wet, you are probably close to water.
4. Change air pressure
When you approach the water in the well, the air pressure inside the well changes and this change in air pressure may be a sign to reach the water.
5. The moisture of the walls of the well
If the walls of the well get more moisture during the drilling, you have probably reached water.
6. The sound of water
When the water reaches the surface of the well, you may hear the sound of boiling and flowing water.
