Types of construction cement are one of the most widely used construction materials and they can be considered an integral part in the construction industry, which are used in the construction of other shotcrete materials. Most of us probably know only two types of cement, black and white, and when it comes to types of cement, we cannot imagine anything other than these two types. While if we take a more specialized look, we will find that a special cement is needed for each application so that everything is in place as it should be.
1- Portland cement
Portland cement is a type of powdered cement. This cement can be used for normal applications that don't require much resistance and don't put a lot of load on them. For example, Portland cement is used in the construction of sidewalks, tables on the side of the street, cement pipes for water transmission, etc. This cement can be combined with gravel, sand or stone and used to make all kinds of mortar and concrete. This type of cement is made in different classes, each of which has different resistances. In the table below, we have introduced the advantages and disadvantages of Portland cement. Advantages:
Low reaction with water High resistance to cracking Resistant to weather penetration Resistant to the attack of sulfates and chlorides
Achieving stable resistance within 90 days Easy to work due to the presence of metal ash in the composition High resistance to destruction Can be used in humid and corrosive environments Resistant to powdery mildew and dandruff Affordable Portland cement type 1
This type of Portland cement, which is known as ordinary Portland cement, is used for general applications that do not require special resistance to pressure or heat. This cement can be used for paving roads and bridges, building sidewalks, storage tanks, transmission pipes, prefabricated units, and any other structure whose strength is not important. Type 2 Portland cement
Type 2 Portland cement is a type of construction cement that has a modified structure. This feature has caused the resistance of cement to be slightly higher against the attack of sulfates and it can be used in the presence of soil or water containing sulfates. In addition, the speed of mixing with water or hydration in this cement is weak. For this reason, it is a bit slower than type 1.

Type 3 Portland cement

"lime cement"
The combination of special limestone with Portland cement clinker in a ratio of 20 to 80 produces this type of cement. In fact, these two materials are poured into the cement mill and powdered to obtain the final cement. This cement has a more reasonable price and is more efficient than ordinary cement. It can also be poured and pumped in the cement spraying machine. Less permeability and more water retention than other characteristics of lime cement. The advantages of lime cement are as follows: The price is right Low permeability and insulation Low heat generation Suitable for concreting in large volume Reduction of surface and deep cracks in concrete Eco-friendly Laying cement Overlay cement is a type of construction cement that has a completely uniform structure. The amount of fox in this cement varies from 25 to 70 percent. This cement has finer particles than normal cements and shows high strength against the attack of sulfates. This high resistance makes the overlay cement very useful in the construction of marine structures.
3- Air-entrained cement
Air-entrained cement is one of the types of construction cement that is obtained from the combination of cement clinker with resins, adhesives, sodium salts and sulfates. This type of cement has a high resistance to freezing and therefore it is suitable for use in cold regions. In fact, when the ratio of water to cement in concrete is low, aerated cement is used to increase the strength of concrete. Concretes made of this type of cement are also very resistant to cracking. Because aeration in it makes there is enough space to increase the volume of water during freezing. 4- White and colored cement
