Terms and Conditions of Nursery Construction

1- The presence of the technical director for the construction of the nursery
Each nursery must have a technical manager with at least a bachelor's degree in agriculture, preferably in the field of horticulture or in agriculture, plant breeding and phytomedicine, with 3 years of useful experience in the field of seedling production and a member of the agricultural engineering system organization of the respective province. 2- The producer and technical manager is in charge of all the technical issues of the nursery and the duty of strictly carrying out the executive instructions for the production, supply and movement of seedlings in compliance with the principles and regulations of quarantine within the country. 3- Compliance with technical and health regulations and instructions: Seedling producers and technical managers are obliged to comply with all technical and sanitary regulations and instructions issued by the Seed and Seedling Registration and Certification Research Institute as a national authority for seedling production and strictly comply with the quarantine principles issued by the Plant Protection Organization. is. Explanation that, fortunately, the law on registration of plant varieties, control and certification of seeds and seedlings, in order to institutionalize and legitimize the matter of control and certification of seeds and seedlings, was approved by the Islamic Council in 2002. 4- Validity period of seedling production license: Two to three years depending on the species and region and can be extended if the principles and regulations are strictly followed. 5- The seedling producer must have at least one seedling production unit with at least 2 hectares of suitable cultivated land with a three-year interval for the production and propagation of seedlings, sufficient and healthy water (at least 1 liter per second per hectare). He should cultivate by following the rotation. 6- If the land for the nursery is leased, the minimum lease term should be five years.
7- Water and soil test:
Soil and water test should be done in the lands intended for nursery construction. 8- Verification of plant conservation management: It is based on the appropriateness of the place of construction of the nursery in terms of mandatory quarantine issues. 9- Place of construction of the nursery: The nursery should be built in a place that has a suitable climate for the production and propagation of the desired plant in terms of weather and soil conditions. The location of the nursery in order to comply with the sanitary principles in the production of healthy seedlings and to prevent the contamination of the seedlings should be at least 2000 meters away from the orchards of fruitful trees. 10- Obtaining the necessary permission: In the case of the suitable place for the construction of the nursery, after providing the required documents regarding water supply, soil and water test, weather conditions, technical staff, health certificate is required.
