Nozzles installed in the inlet water collector to the tower, which distribute the incoming hot water flow on the packings. The atomization of water by nozzles, in addition to its better dispersion on the packing surfaces, has led to a decrease in water pressure, which lowers its evaporation temperature. Besides, as water turns into many drops, the contact surface between water and air also increases.

is a factor to increase the contact surface between water and air, which leads to intensifying the evaporation process. So that after spraying the water by the nozzles, the water is completely spread in the form of thin layers on the packing surfaces and thus comes in contact with more air. In addition, due to the trapping of water inside the packing, more time will be available for its evaporation.

It is connected to a float that feeds the compensating water when the water level inside the tower tank (caused by evaporation and draining) drops. The working principle of the float attached to this probe is exactly the same as the float in water coolers. When the water level inside the pan decreases, the float moves down and more water enters the cooling tower, and vice versa, when the water level inside the pan increases, the float moves up according to Pascal's law of buoyancy. It moves and restricts the path of water entering the pan. In fact, the function of the float and compensating water port is to maintain the water level inside the cooling tower pan at an optimal level.

Due to the direct connection of water with air and as a result of it getting dirty, the polluted water is discharged through this port and clean water is replaced by the compensating water port. The drain water port is always installed in the lowest part of the cooling tower pan.

is where the hot water enters the cooling tower. This hot water can be from the outlet of the condenser of the cold water compression chiller or the outlet of the condenser of an absorption chiller that carries heat absorbed from inside the building.

The cold water outlet is from the cooling tower, in fact the cooled water is used again in the desired device or system.
