⚫️ What is Air Screw Compressor?
Screw compressor is one of the types of compressed air production compressors that are used in the industry and their mechanism of operation is rotary or rotary. The capacity of screw compressors is from **** liters per minute and above, which is determined according to the capacity required by the customer.
Screw compressors, which are also called air compressors in popular language, are generally used in high capacities of compressed air. The screw compressor is located between the piston compressor and the centrifugal compressor in terms of its operating range, and the reason is that the storage structure of this compressor is of positive displacement type, and hence it is similar to the piston compressor, and because of the continuous flow of air passing through it. The compressor is similar to the centrifugal compressor, so it is a suitable option for compressing compressed air and refrigerant gas used in cooling systems.
Screw compressors are the best option in applications that require continuous aeration with a pressure range of 8 to 12 bar and an air production capacity of over **** liters per minute. Also, when buying a screw compressor, it is necessary to buy a compressed air tank to store compressed air. The screw compressors provided in FAMCO are designed in such a way that they are very simple and inexpensive to install and operate, considering the temperature of Iran's climate.
⚫️ Types of compressed Air Screw Compressor
Screw compressors are generally designed and manufactured in two types:
Screw compressor without oil or oil free compressor (Oil Free Compressor)
Oil Injected Screw Compressor or Oil Injected Screw Compressor
In the oil screw compressor, for cooling and reducing the friction between parts, along with the air entering the compressor, oil is injected, which is also called lubricating the air. This method ensures that there is always some oil between the moving parts of the compressor and completes the lubrication process, and this oil is eventually released from the compressor outlet along with the compressed air, which is removed from the air using an oil filter. The compressed is separated and returned to the oil storage tank. In the screw oil-injected compressor, after separating the oil, a small amount of oil enters the system along with the air, and if the presence of these amounts of oil does not cause damage and reduce efficiency for devices that consume compressed air, especially precise and sensitive instruments. This compressor will have higher efficiency and longevity than the oil-free type. Of course, it should be noted that the use of filtering and oil separation in the screw oil-injected compressor increases the cost as much as high precision is required.

⚫️ Characteristics of compressed air compressor compressor compressor
The most important advantage of the screw compressor is the absence of fluctuations in the maximum working pressure.
In screws, the parts involved and under friction are less compared to the piston compressor, and as a result, maintenance and repairs are less.
The aeration capacity of this compressor is highly efficient due to the uniform flow.
Small volume compared to other compressors
Very simple foundation due to balanced forces
It has much less vibration.
Due to the continuous air compression, there is no possibility of surg phenomenon or air return to the air conditioner.
Due to limited seals of the compression chamber, there is little leakage.
Reducing the amount of energy consumption in proportion to the capacity of the compressor
Slow switching on and off of the electric current in the electric motor by the inverter
Ability to operate at maximum capacity for long periods of time
Installation and commissioning in the shortest possible time

⚫️ The Mechanism of Operation Compressor Compressors Compressed Air
After the device is turned on, the ambient air first passes through the filter and enters the aerator part. In the aerator part, there are two spiral rotors in the form of male and female, which rotate alternately with a very small distance and slack. They are rotating, the air in this section after entering the compressor is trapped in the space between the two spirals and the shell, and then due to the continuous volume reduction, the kinetic energy of the air molecules increases and compression takes place. The increase in pressure in screw compressors starts from one side and at the end of the spirals, the compressed air comes out and after the oil is filtered, it is stored in the compressed air tank.
⚫️ How to transfer power compressor compressed air compressor
The way of power transmission in screw compressor is two types of direct coupler and belt.
⚫️ Direct couple
In the direct coupling method, the electric motor and the air generator unit rotate with the same revolution and the power transmission is direct. Also, in this method, the electric motor and the air generator unit are installed in the same direction. Using the direct coupling method increases the lifespan of the air conditioner and reduces its energy consumption.
⚫️ Belt
In this method, the electric motor and the air generator unit are connected to each other by a belt pulley. In this method, the belt is placed on the groove of the pulleys and they perform the rotation process. One pole is placed on the side of the air conditioner unit and one pole is placed on the side of the electric motor. In this method, power is transferred from the engine side to the air conditioning unit. The change in the amount of aeration in this method occurs by changing the size of the money, which changes the size of the aeration unit.
Compressed air screw compressors can be made in two types: constant speed and variable speed (inverter). In variable speed compressors, an inverter kit is installed on the electric motor, which reduces the energy consumption of the compressor.
