The spatial weight of light-grained concrete blocks is often less than 1100 kg/m3. The resistance of these blocks is at least 30 kg/cm2. If needed, with a proper mixing design, resistances up to 100 kg/cm2 can be reached. Lika block is produced in two shapes, solid and hollow, for use in walls and ceilings. The wall thickness of hollow blocks is more than normal cement blocks to take advantage of their insulating properties. This increase does not have much effect on the final weight of the block due to the very low weight of the concrete used. Lika blocks are produced in different types of peripheral walls and blades. Lika blocks are widely used in all types of exterior walls, separators, facades, double-walls, insulation, fireproof, and light concrete roofs (beams and blocks).

Mineral light block is a type of light block. There is a strong relationship between the cement content of light pumice concrete and its compressive strength. Considering that cement has a higher specific weight than pumice aggregate and water, the resistance increases with increasing density of specific aggregate. The higher the strength in light pumice concrete, the more cement it will need. In addition to reducing the weight of the building, light mineral block is also suitable for sound and heat insulation. In many countries of the world, blocks with different dimensions and types are made according to different needs and according to national standards and laws.
