Kermanshah tourist attractions

30 km northeast of Kermanshah and southwest of Bistun city, a mountain with the same name is located on the way from Hamadan to Kermanshah. This is the holy biston that "Nizami" mentioned in "Khosro and Shirin". This is one of the famous places of Kermanshah, located on the Silk Road, and kings and rulers paid a lot of attention to it. This collection has 28 registered national works, around which 150 other historical works have been identified. Dariush's inscription and relief is also located in Bistun, which belongs to the Achaemenid period, which depicts the false story of Goumat Magh. This inscription was registered in the world list of UNESCO in 2005.

Taq Bostan It is a historical collection of inscriptions and petroglyphs located in the northwestern part of Kermanshah and belonging to the Sasanian era. This complex is also one of the oldest sightseeing places in Kermanshah.

After the reign of Ardeshir II Sassanid, Taq Bostan was chosen to carve images of historical events due to the presence of high mountains. Images of the coronation of Khosroparviz, Ardeshir II and Ardeshir III are engraved in this valuable collection. There is also a petroglyph in which the boar hunting ceremony is depicted. This work was registered in the list of national works in 1310.
