The resonator creates echoed sound waves in the chamber and this intensifies the sound coming out of the exhaust. In the exhaust system, catalytic converters reduce the noise generated. By installing resonators on this system, this converter can be removed from the system and the exhaust sound can be changed.
direct exhaust system
Another method that is used to change the exhaust sound and increase it is to install and use a direct and end-to-end exhaust system. In other words, this type of installation can be called straight piping of the exhaust system. Straight pipe is actually a polished pipe without any twists. In this method, the exhaust chambers and pipes that transfer gas from the engine to the exhaust are direct and unobstructed. This type of design makes the obstacles in front of the sound waves less and the exhaust sound is heard louder.
