Types of elevator cabins

What is the elevator cabin?

The cabin is one of the most important parts of any elevator, which is actually a small space that is used to move people and sometimes move goods and things like that. Looking at the types of elevator cabins, we can see that each one is used for a specific type of work. This cabin is designed and built in different sizes and capacities, and their capacity is completely different according to the conditions of each building and the request of the employer. Passenger elevator cabins are usually built for 4 to 8 people, cargo cabins are designed with a capacity of 10 to 21 people, of course, the normal cabin has a capacity of 4 people and 6 people.

The important components of the elevator cabin include: the frame or the yoke, the platform or the place where the passenger stands, and the walls, all of which can be changed. In addition to the mentioned items, elevator cabins have a series of other accessories and equipment, including the ceiling, floor, door, handle, display screen, etc.

The constituent parts of the elevator cab

Almost many complex components are used in the elevator and even its cabin, each of which plays an important role in the operation of the elevator. All these parts of the elevator are finally connected directly or indirectly to the cabin. The whole purpose of these components is for the elevator to move and work properly.

Elevator cabin framework

The metal frame of the cabin that covers the cabin assembly is called the main frame or yoke. Of course, it is also called as the cabin support frame, which is often made of resistant metals and other equipment is connected to it. Due to the complete transfer of the weight of the cabin plus the weight of the passengers to the towing wires or the hydraulic system by the yoke or the same frame, the adjustment of this part of the cabin in order to prevent the deviation of the cabin is also one of the important points that must be paid attention to during the specialized installation of the elevator.

Elevator cabin door

One of the important parts of the elevator cabin is its door, because the protection of passengers and preventing them from hitting the well wall during the movement of the elevator is done by the cabin door. This part is designed for two-layer or three-layer models, and they are often semi-automatic or fully automatic.

This type of cabin is made using formica composite metal sheets and steel or MDF sheets together with steel and has a wide variety of colors.

Elevator Mirror Mirror The most functional part of the cabin

mirror installation is implemented in all elevators; Because with this, the cabin space looks bigger. This reduces people's fear and stress from closed environments. But it should be noted that unprincipled design and implementation or installation of non-standard mirrors can cause accidents.
