What is a helical gearbox?
Helical gearbox, which is also called cube gearbox in the industry, is one of the most widely used types of industrial gearboxes. This gearbox may be supplied separately or coupled with the motor in the form of a helical gearbox. The components of this gearbox are:

The helical gear of this type of gearbox is made of bronze or aluminum. The shell is also made of cast iron or aluminum. Cast iron shells have higher resistance and generate less vibration, but aluminum shells have higher heat exchange and cool down faster. This type of gearbox has a lower yield and efficiency than direct or helical shaft gearboxes.
Types of helical gearboxes
MVF helical gearboxes
This type of gearbox is a flanged hollow shaft type. The flange of this type of gearbox provides it with an easier connection to the electric motor. Bakery ovens, agricultural machinery and elevators are the main uses of this type of gearbox. VF helical gearboxes This type of gearbox has a shaft input. This type of helical gearbox is also called manual or small gearbox. This type of gearbox is indirectly connected to the electric motor through a clutch, coupling and pulley belt. This type of gearbox has a very low efficiency, but the production of noise and friction is very low. This type of gearbox is widely used in transmission lines.
FC helical gearboxes
This type of helical gearbox has a flanged outlet. This type of gearbox is directly and directly coupled to the consumer device, but its connection is established indirectly with the electric motor. The use of this type of gearbox is more common in large industrial mixers.
