A tractor is one of the agricultural machines that is used to pull agricultural equipment. One of the first uses of the tractor and perhaps the most common is for plowing and preparing the soil. The various uses of the tractor, which have been obtained due to its gradual evolution, have led to the creation of several classifications for it. A descriptive classification of tractor types based on steering type, chassis construction, and traction components follows.
♦️ Chain tractors
These tractors are less important today than when they were released. It is usually used when the soil is very hard or soft or the stability of the tractor wheels is considered. In the beginning, chain tractors were bigger than wheeled tractors, that's why they were used in large fields. Standard tractors were initially used for pulling operations. In this tractor, the rear wheels are driven, and its center of gravity is located at a distance of approximately one inch between the front and rear wheel axles, close to the rear wheel axle. The standard tractor is sometimes called the tractor of western countries and it does not have a three-point connection device.

It is usually a modified version of the working row tractors (standard) and they are designed especially for products that are very high, such as sugarcane.

In these tractors, the chassis distance from the ground is generally lower than standard tractors. These tractors are suitable for most farm or pasture operations and are often equipped with a front loader. This tractor can be used to clear the cattle stable.
