Investigating the types of Iranian rice in appearance

In the previous section, we examined the types of Iranian rice in terms of their names and some of their characteristics; Here we go to the classification of rice based on their appearance, which is divided into long grain, medium grain and short grain.

Long grain rice: These rices are suitable for a party, and the length of each long grain is usually 4 times its width, and they grow taller after cooking.
Medium grain rice : These rices are shorter than long-grain rice, but they still grow a little taller after cooking.
Half-grain rice: This rice may be half-grain from the beginning or Be from other rice families that lost their original shape and were shortened during harvesting. Half-grain rice is better for cats, because it is a little sticky after cooking due to its short length.

The difference between brown rice and white rice

You probably heard the name of brown rice and maybe even used this type for cooking; Here we are going to check the difference between brown rice and white rice. Since every rice consists of 3 parts: husk, bran and sprout, and the biggest difference between brown and white rice is that they don't separate the husk. This preserves the bran and germ of the rice, resulting in more fiber, vitamins, and nutrients in brown rice. The same issue causes the difference in the color of these two types of rice. Of course, brown rice is mostly used in East and Southeast Asian countries, and Iranian rice is mostly white.
