Types of building floors with pumice

☑️ Flooring with dry mineral shell

In this method, after chroming different parts, mineral pumice is poured between the chromes and it is smoothed and arranged until it is ready for mortaring. Then a 2 to 2.5 cm thick mortar consisting of water and cement is applied on it to make it firm. This method is not recommended at all because dry mineral pumice is used without mortar. Because moving them causes the floor to crack, the mosaic and ceramics to settle and loosen on it.

☑️ Flooring of the building with a mixture of mineral shell and cement

This method is the same as the previous method. with the difference that the pumice does not leave the chrome layer after layer in a dry form. After pouring the pumice stones and smoothing and compacting them, they pour a mixture of cement and water on the pumice stones. This work has caused the pimples to stick together to some extent and it is not problematic like the previous method. This method is also called grouting.

☑️ Using lightweight concrete concrete

In this method, using mineral pumice, they make a kind of light concrete, which is called pumice concrete. Pumice concrete consists of volume ratios of 1-4-8. 1 unit of cement, 4 units of sand and 8 units of mineral pumice, which after preparation, pour it between the chrome bands and smooth it. Then, a thin layer of cement is spread over the pumice concrete to make it smooth and ready for the next steps.
