What is a double glazed window?
This is a question that you probably already know, but to make it clear, I must say that a double-glazed window is a window that consists of two flat panes of glass with an insulating layer that is mounted on frames of different materials.
The insulating layer of this type of window is first evacuated from the air and a small amount of argon, krypton or xenon gas is injected into it. The thermal conductivity of these gases is very low and it minimizes the heat transfer between the two sides of the window through the glass. Next, the gas is completely sealed between the two layers of glass.
Note: the heat transfer from the glass between the two sides is very low and most of the heat transfer is transferred through the frame; Therefore, you should be very careful in choosing the window frame.

1) Double -walled glass:
The main part of the double-glazed door and window consists of two layers of glass, which are available with different thicknesses and with distances of 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm.
The thickness of common glass in the market is 4, 5 and 6. There are millimeters. This type of glass has the same gender as plain flat glass (simple flute) and in some cases, one of the glasses can be reflective glass with gold, silver and bronze colors.
Glass insulation method:
To double-glaze or insulate the glasses, first the space between the two glasses is evacuated from the air and then filled with a small amount of argon, krypton or xenon gas so that the complete evacuation of the air does not damage the windows. Finally, the edges of the glasses are sealed using acrylic silicone mastic.
2) Profiles of the main frame:
The main frame is a part of the window that holds the glass and determines the type of window opening.
The profile of the main frame of the double-glazed door and window is made of different materials such as aluminum, iron, wood, composite, fiberglass. or UPVC is made; But in most cases, due to UPVC's low heat conduction, this material is used.
3) Sub -frame profiles:
The sub-frame, which is also called sub-frame and waiting frame, is a frame that is installed before installing double-glazed windows. In the figure above, the subframe is indicated by the dashed line.
The main function of this frame is to bear the loads from the wall to the window. The biggest load that always enters the window is the load resulting from the weight of the wall above the window, which over time makes the window not open and close easily. Easy access and high resistance of iron cans make them a suitable option for this work. Also, before its implementation, they are completely covered with anti-rust to have a good resistance against moisture.
