History
Thatch is a mortar that is used in Iranian architecture, especially in the central desert regions of Iran, which dates back to four thousand years BC. These materials are surprisingly compatible with Iranian life and have some surprises in them. Straw is combined with wood or stone tiles and similar materials in a pleasant harmony, and Iranian architects used them to decorate buildings. Having said that, it should be emphasized that the date of the beginning of straw consumption in Iranian civilization cannot be precisely determined. But its existence in the oldest architectural works of the plateau is a proof that this material has been mixed with the life of the peoples of the land of Iran from the beginning and its recognition and use has been passed down from generation to generation during different centuries. The pleasant color and fragrance of thatch not only gives an extraordinary beauty to the Iranian city, but it has sprinkled a special light and color on people's lives. But today, the creation of huge buildings and the civilization of the western world has caused the invasion of various western construction techniques, and naturally, the architecture of our people, which was associated with experience, beauty and personality, has turned into dry and unfamiliar materials.
