However, since 1370, the minting of the Spring of Freedom coin started with a new design, which is known as the Imami coin. This type of coin, which is offered in the market as a completely new coin, has the image of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini (RA) on one side, and the court of Imam Reza (AS) on the other side.

We should point out that contrary to popular belief, the coins of the old design and the coins of the new design both belong to the post-revolution era. These two types of coins have no difference in terms of weight and grade, and both are minted with a grade of 900 per thousand and a weight of 8.13598 grams.
