Then we stir slowly once or twice and wait for a few moments until the rice kernels soften a little so that when we crush the rice grains in our hands, the kernels are not rough and dry, then we pour the rice in a colander to drain the water. Pour the rice from the colander into the pot and make a cone around it. We wrap the lid of the pot with a cotton cloth or a clean towel and place it on the pot and then put the pot on the stove with a low flame to let it simmer.

Baking Camfiroz Rice by Katteh Method

Wash the rice well and soak it in water for 3 to 4 hours. At this point, you can add half a teaspoon of salt to the water. After soaking, drain the rice water and wash the rice again. Put the rice in the desired pot and add 3 cups of water. Put the pot on high heat until the water boils. Reduce the heat and cover the pot. Wait for 20 to 30 minutes until the rice water is completely absorbed. After brewing, stir the rice slowly with a spoon and serve in the desired dish.
