Branching
In a medium-sized pot, mix water and sugar and put it on the heat until it boils and the sugar dissolves completely in the water, so that a very thick syrup is made. Turn off the heat and let the syrup cool. and reach the ambient temperature. If you wish, add the desired flavoring to the syrup. Prepare a few tall and narrow glass glasses, a few wooden skewers and a few clips (the length of which is at least as long as the opening of the glasses). Connect to the wooden skewers, so that when the skewers are placed in the glasses, the clamp is on the opening of the glass and the end of the wooden skewer does not hit the bottom of the glass.
Put some sugar on a plate, moisten the wooden skewers with water, then roll them in the sugar so that the sugar grains stick to the sticks.
Rolling the sticks in sugar
Let the sugars stick to the sticks. , to dry.
If you like to make colored candies, pour a drop of your favorite food coloring into each glass. Then fill the glasses with cooled syrup so that about 2.5 cm from the top of the glass is empty. Place the skewers in the glasses filled with thick syrup. Place the glasses in a place where they will not be shaken. Wait for about a week until the crystals form. Form around wooden skewers. Also, crystals may form on the inside of the glass. After two weeks, the candies have thickened enough that you can remove the sticks from the syrup.
Allow the candies to dry and fully form.
Important points
In the method of making candy at home, if the syrup is not cooled, after the skewers are placed in it, the sugars attached to the wooden skewers will dissolve and crystals will not form around the sticks.
Be careful that the wood does not touch the bottom and sides of the glass.
If you wish, you can use natural colors such as saffron to prepare candy, in which case the candy will have more properties.
