Symptoms
Clogged or damaged heater radiator can be the cause of this. If the radiator does not function properly, the heat transfer does not happen properly and the car heater does not heat the space well. Among the most important symptoms of car heater failure, the following can be mentioned:
Clogging of the connection pipe between the radiator and the heater can cause the heating system to malfunction.
The heat generated in the radiator does not enter the cabin well, which is a sign of the failure of the heater fan.
When the thermostat is damaged, it affects the functioning of the coolant and heater circulation. As a result, the engine and coolant do not heat up well.
The water leakage of the heater radiator can cause an unpleasant smell in the cabin, and to solve it, these gaskets and seams should be checked and repaired if necessary.
Breaking the impeller inside the car's water pump also disrupts the correct circulation of water around the car's engine, causing the car's heater to not work properly.
By changing the temperature of the heater, the amount of heating does not decrease and the heater works in the hottest possible state.

Why doesn't the car heater make heat as soon as it starts?
The car heater does not generate heat as soon as it is started. It means that even if you turn it on, the air coming out of it is cold. Especially the colder it is outside, the longer it takes to feel warm. This is primarily due to the thermostat. The thermostat is a temperature-sensitive valve located in the cooling system between the engine and the radiator. The ideal temperature of engines is usually between 90 and 140 centigrade. In order for the engine to reach this temperature faster, the thermostat remains closed so that the coolant does not circulate throughout the system and the engine warms up sufficiently. When this happens, the thermostat opens and the coolant, which is hot, moves through the system.
How to prevent car heater failure?
It is better to check the heating and cooling system of the car regularly, and especially before the start of the cold season. Inspection of the cooling system and other parts related to air circulation is required for a brand new car after 100,000 kilometers.
