Depending on the structure of the body, there are two types of pinch valves:
Open pinch valves
Usually, mechanical pinch valves are of open type without metal body cover. The open structure of pinch valves is used to check the physical and appearance of the valve body during operation. This is the simplest type of pinch valve design, but exposes the valve body to the environment.
Closed pinch valve (Closed pinch valves)
Closed pinch valve looks like a globe valve from the outside (read more: what is a ball valve and the use of globe valves). The housing is actually a protective cover for the internal structure of the valve. The main mechanism of the pinch valve takes place inside the metal housing. This mechanism can be one of the following types:
