Split
Split is a type of air conditioner that takes hot air from the house and cools it back inside. This happens until the thermostat reaches the desired temperature. The cooler is actually like a refrigerator that does not have an insulated compartment. Refrigerant liquid like freon takes heat and evaporates and cools the environment. In coolers, the device that vaporizes the refrigerant is like a refrigerator. Splits are two pieces (indoor and outdoor units) while window air conditioners are a complete unit.
