Generally, gold in its purest form is reddish yellow in color. But due to the use of different alloys and compounds to increase the strength of gold, the color of this metal changed. Usually, to increase the resistance of gold metal, other metals such as silver, titanium, copper and zinc are used. For this reason, gold with different colors such as yellow, white and rose gold is available in the market.
One of the most common and popular types of gold in the Iranian market is yellow gold. This gold is the color of the original gold metal. But its purity is different from the original gold stone. Because this metal is combined with other metals to make jewelry. As we mentioned, the combination of gold metal with other metals led to the creation of a word called carat, which shows the weight of gold.
Currently, the types of gold in the Iranian market are divided into 24 carat and 18 carat based on carat. It should be noted that the higher the gold grade, the more gold has been used. Carat has a direct effect on the price of gold. In this way, the higher the gold grade, the higher the price of gold.
Yellow gold is purer and less sensitive than other golds. This gold is usually combined with silver, copper and zinc metals.
White gold
One of the most common types of gold available in the Iranian market, which has become extremely popular among people in recent years, is white gold. This gold is made with an alloy of yellow gold and platinum (palladium) or nickel and zinc. The purity of this gold is lower than yellow gold. For this reason, it has a higher resistance. Also, its price is lower than yellow gold.
Rose Gold
Rose or pink gold has increased dramatically in recent years and its popularity cannot be hidden. This gold is made using gold, silver and copper metal. The price of this gold is lower than yellow and white gold.
Green gold
Green gold or electrum is made using gold and silver metal alloy. The green color of this gold can only be seen as a shade.
Black Gold
Black gold is blackened by applying a layer of ruthenium plating or rhodium plating.
