Drinking system and its types for breeding poultry

Normally, two types of nipple systems are used: drinking troughs with high flow intensity and drinking troughs with low flow; that the speed of water flow in the head of petanques with high flow intensity is 80-90 ml per minute. And in this system, there is water continuously at the end of the teat, and a cup is placed under it, in which the water will collect in case of leakage. The speed of water flow in the head of teats with low flow intensity is 50-60 ml per minute, which usually has a water collecting cup in this system and the water flow is established by the pressure of the bird's tip to the teat head. Nipple drinkers are adjusted based on the bird's height and water pressure. As a general rule, birds should not be raised or bent too far to access water. And when drinking water, the sole of the foot should be completely on the bed.

This system is widely used in the automatic bed and rack system. It is completely hygienic and does not need frequent disinfection. And it is very suitable in terms of saving water consumption. In this system, the water flows through the pipe, and special valves are installed at specific intervals in the bed and next to each cage, so that the water is released drop by drop from these valves. Poultry periodically pecks these valves. In this way, they cause the water to flow downward from the opening of the valve.

There are small drinking troughs that have a diameter of 5 to 15 cm and a depth of 2.5 to 7.6 cm. They are divided into the following types based on the way water enters them: Suspended type: A relatively large cup is attached to the end of a vertical tube or hose pipe, which is inside the cup with a valve that opens and closes based on the weight of the water inside the cup. Trigger type: Usually the cups are located in the upper part of a horizontal tube along the length of the nest, where a valve is installed in the lower part of the cup, which is opened and closed by a trigger. The trigger is operated by the chicken itself. The cup of this type of drinking water is very small. The horizontal tube can be pulled up and down and its height changes based on the age of the chicken.
