What is Structure Design?
Structural Building Design is a process in which architectural, engineering and technical operations are purposefully determined to determine the configuration, dimensions and specifications of the parts and skeleton of the building. The purpose of creating a plan for the construction of a building is to create safety, optimal performance and durability for the building. The method of load and resistance coefficients and the method of allowable stress and limit states are among the building design methods. In simple words, structural design means designing the structure or members of a building (beams, columns, braces, shear walls, etc.) with the aim of bringing that structure to the desired and ideal resistance. Building stability is a set of factors that result from the relationship between the internal and external systems of the building structure. Every building that is built must meet the efficiency of the need for which it is intended and be durable throughout its life. Resistance to various forces applied to the structure, stability against sudden pressures such as earthquakes, beauty and modernity are among the most important factors that should be considered in the design of various structures.
All construction projects require the services of a building designer, typically a licensed architect. Draftsman, building surveyor and structural engineer are other factors that are needed in the process of building design, from the beginning of work to the final approval of the plan. The design of any building structure is divided into two main types: 1- Functional design. 2- Structural design.
