The first stage
The main material for making paper towels is trees. First, the bark of the trees is removed and they are turned into thin layers called wood chips.
The second stage
In the next step, these chips are combined with chemicals and turned into slurry with heat. These slurries are sent to pressure furnaces with a height of 18 meters, which are called digesters.
Stage Three
In the third stage, the ingredients are cooked for several hours, and during this cooking time, the water in the dough evaporates and its weight decreases. The remaining mixture includes cellulose, fiber, lignin (wood fibers connected together) and other derivatives.
Four
The pulp obtained from the operation is sent to washing machines and washed in several stages. In the meantime, lignin and chemicals added during cooking are separated from the mixture. After that, a black liquid called black oil will be separated from the dough and the dough will be sent to the next stage.
Stage Five
In several stages, the washed pastes are combined with vegetable bleaching agents to remove the color remaining from the fiber. The remaining lingin in the dough will turn yellow over time and it should be whitened so that the color of the paper is also white.
Stage 6
In the sixth step, the dough is mixed with water again and the resulting mixture will contain fiber and water. These materials are sent to the mesh plates and their water is taken. At this stage, matte plates are produced quickly.
Step Seven
At this stage, the matte plates are sent into cylinders. These plates are dried in these super-compressed cylinders and their final water is greatly reduced.
Stage Eight
In the next step, the papers are creped. Crepe is a process in which the paper is softened and gives them a pleated appearance. Papers are scratched by a blade during the creeping process, which causes the flexibility of the paper and also reduces its strength, resistance, and thickness. This process is done quickly and at the end the papers are wrapped on the rail.
Stage 9
In the final stage, the paper rolls are opened, cut and wrapped around the cardboard tubes again and sent for cutting and final packaging.
