Introducing Nylon and Nylex

What is nylon?

From an expert point of view, nylon is a thermoplastic material made from petrochemical materials. Nylons usually have good chemical resistance. Nylons can be mixed with materials such as glass or oil to enhance certain aspects of their performance.

Nylon raw materials are light polyethylene or LDPE.

Nylon and Nylex because The various applications they have in the daily activities of human life are among the most useful synthetic materials. These products are an integral part of our lives and they have definitely had a tangible influence in various industries. From the nylon carpet of the house, the toothbrush whose bristles are made of nylon, to the dinnerware and even the umbrella above your head, they are all made of nylons. Nylon is also used as a raw material in the production of clothing.

Features of nylon: Nylon is soft and flexible, which also has good clarity and brightness in terms of appearance. If you touch nylon, you can feel its softness, unlike nylon, which has You won't hear a lot of noise when you touch it.

Nylon has lower elasticity than Nylex, so it doesn't have the resistance and weight of Nylex.

Nylon application

If we want to consider only the polyethylene industry, nylon is widely used in many businesses and industries, and we all deal with it every day, from clothing stores that use printed plastic handles to deliver products to customers. This type of packaging is used up to the packaging that we see in food and product stores.

Of course, the use of nylon is much wider, for example, for roofing greenhouses from wide nylons. is used or for construction projects, this product is used without replacement. In the section below, some of the uses of this product are mentioned, and you will get more information by clicking on each one.

What is Nilx?

In our country, Nylex is the heavy polyethylene film, but in other countries, Nylex does not mean this. Nylexes are composed of two components: heavy polyethylene and light polyethylene. Due to dryness, impactability and thinness, films and less transparency of Nylex compared to Nylon, 20% of light polyethylene is used to add gloss, softness and better sewability to this product.

Materials The primary nylex is heavy polyethylene or HDPE. Of course, 20% of it is light polyethylene or LDPE.

Nylexes are produced in various thicknesses, unlike nylons, these products have a dull surface and do not reflect light, on the other hand, they are difficult to change. How the word Nylex was used in the naming of plastic products has yet to be answered. But according to what was said, this naming was done due to the naming of a person named Mr. Manouchehri (the founder of Nylex Company) on his products in the past.

In the past, most garbage and plastic bags in stores were made of light polyethylene, but today people call these plastic bags, which are used for garbage, easier transportation of items and food, as Nylex.

Features of Nylex: Unlike nylon, which has a soft texture, Nylex has a completely dry texture that makes a lot of noise when you touch it. Also, it does not have the transparency that nylon has and is a little duller. Of course, these characteristics are the reason for the elasticity and threshold of bearing more weight, which makes it stretch even against heavier weight or pressure without tearing.

Application of Nilx

As we said earlier, Nylex has a dry and matte material, of course, it also has a high resistance, so it is used in most plastic bags with handles, garbage bags, fruit and tarbar plastics, and in general in any bag that You don't care about its appearance and it must bear high weight, Nylex is used.

Some uses of Nylex are:

⚫️ disposable tablecloths
⚫️ freezer bags
⚫️ disposable gloves
⚫️ plastic bags for carrying fruit and food

Some of Nylexi products are placed in the section below, clicking on each one will give you more information.
