What are the components of industrial valves?
Before we examine the types of valves, you must first familiarize yourself with their components in order to better understand how each one works. Types of industrial valves, apart from their type and application, include the following components:
- Body: The valve body (or shell) is the outer shell of the valve through which the fluid flows and other parts of the valve are placed in it. Bonnet: This part is placed on the body of the valve and bears the most pressure after the body. However, some valves do not need a bonnet.
- Trim: The internal components of the valve, which includes the disc, seat and stem, are called trim. All movements of the valve, from initial movement to flow control, are caused by the presence of trim.
- Disc: This part is used to block or control the fluid flow.
- Seat: This is the inner part or part of the body. It is milk. Also, the seat is where the valve is placed when the valve is closed.
- Stem: The stem is responsible for performing the necessary movement on the disc. It also controls the closing of the valve and the position of the disk.

6. Strainer valve
Strainer valve is another type of industrial valve that can be defined as a piece connected to a pipe that is used to filter, filter or separate different materials from the flow. Strainer valves filter pipeline debris such as scale, rust, joint compound and weld metal from pipelines. Therefore, they protect the equipment and processes against the harmful effects of these substances, thereby reducing the time of failure and repair of parts.
7. Ball valve
Ball valve is another widely used type of industrial valve. The distinctive feature of ball valves is that they have a channel in the shape of the English letter s. The hemispherical disk is responsible for opening and closing the flow of liquid or gas in these valves. By raising and lowering it, you can control the flow of liquid or gas. The strength of this type of valve is that it allows you to better control the pressure. 8. Samavari valve
