The word laminate means pasting and refers to cartons or boxes that are different from regular cartons. In fact, to make laminated boxes, the layer on which the printing is done is glued to the cardboard using special methods and devices. This layer is usually made of gray cardboard. To do this, the design is printed on cardboard that has a smooth surface and then covered with matte or glossy cellophane or, if needed, topical UV. This makes the quality of printing in laminated boxes very high and these boxes show more resistance compared to normal cartons.
What sheets are used for laminate?
As mentioned, laminate means gluing or adding one surface to another. One of these layers consists of gray cardboard on which the design is printed. Other layers used in the production of these boxes are different according to the type and application of the box. For this reason, we will introduce the types of these boxes and the layers used in them:
1. Single face box: This type of box is produced in three classes, E flute, B flute and C flute, which differ in the size of the middle floating pitch. In single-face boxes, two layers including floating and face are used, which covers the laminated surface as the third layer on the floating. Three-layer box: these boxes are also available in three classes: E flute, B flute, and C flute. Sometimes, A flutes are produced, which differ in the pitch size of the middle floating. In a three-layer box, three layers including floating and two surfaces are placed as faces on both sides of floating. The laminated surface covers one of the face surfaces as the fourth layer. Five-layer box: In this type of box, two floating surfaces are used, which are surrounded by three face surfaces. The combination of floatings can be in the form of B, C, E, B, E, E, etc., in Iran, B and C are usually more common.
