Batching plant is a device that combines the ingredients of concrete and produces concrete. To produce concrete, specific proportions of cement, water and aggregates are mixed together.
These proportions, which are the same as the concrete mixing plan, are used to achieve the desired strength, ensure sufficient durability and slump. The opinion is determined.
The concrete mixing plan is presented either by weight or by volume, which is a bit complicated to calculate. This work depends on factors such as the desired slump, the largest dimension of the grain, the amount of water and air, the amount of cement and many other things.
Batching plant components
This device includes parts such as cement silos, water source and meter, sand tank, screw, sand scale, cement scale, mixer boiler and operator room.
Cement silos
Cement silos are places for cement storage and there are between 3 and 5 silos depending on the size of the batching plant station. Also, according to the mixing plan, the required water enters the mixer from the storage source and is mixed with a certain amount of sand and cement, which is determined by the scale, inside the mixer pot.
It should be noted that the sand tanks and also different types of cement are separate. In the operator's room, a person is responsible for directing the materials with specific weight and volume into the mixer pot.
Water source and meter
The water needed to be transferred into the mixer is supplied by a water pump. A meter is also used for mixing and measuring. The water capacity required for a workshop is approximately 10,000 liters.
Sand tank
It is used to store fine and coarse aggregates (almond sand, peas and sand). The sand storage tank is built separately from 3 to 6 houses and the aggregates are separated by a retaining wall.
Screw
Screw is a tubular device that is used to transfer cement from the silo to the scale and from the scale to the mixer. Inside the pipe, there is an iron spiral that rotates with an electric motor and causes the cement to move from the lower opening to the upper opening. The diameter of this pipe is 6 to 12 inches.
Scale
According to the mixing plan, a certain amount of sand, sand and cement is measured by a scale. The capacity of the weighing scale reaches 6 tons.
Mixer pot
The materials needed for making concrete are transferred into the mixer pot. The boiler has various volumes such as 0.5, 0.75 and 1 cubic meter. Various mixers are used in batching, the most common of which are twin shaft mixers and pan mixers.
Operator's room
In order to monitor the operation of making concrete and valves, the person in charge is placed inside the operator's room so that a specific weight and volume of materials is directed into the mixer.
