🟨 Determine which tile adhesive to use
There are different types of tile adhesive that you can use. You can use powder glue, paste or a special type of glue designed for marble and natural stone.
If you are installing regular tiles such as ceramic or porcelain on the floor, use powder adhesive. If you are tiling on a wall, a paste adhesive is usually preferred, but you can use a powder adhesive. If you are working with marble or natural stone, use a specially designed adhesive.
🟨 Tile adhesive
Tile powder glue is pre-mixed in a container. However, in many cases, the adhesive is not pre-mixed.
As its name suggests, this glue comes in the form of a powder that you mix in a bucket. To do this, pour the powder into a bucket and add water according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Add the right amount of water and mix it together until it reaches the right concentration. The easiest way to mix glue is to use a drill with a paddle attachment. It works like a blender.
🟨 Use tile adhesive
Once you have mixed the glue, you can apply it. Work quickly so it doesn't dry out. Apply the adhesive directly to the floor with a trowel. When working in small areas, apply adhesive to the back of the tile.
