🟠 Weight and stone density
One of the most important points in knowing the types of stones is paying attention to their weight and density, in fact, from this point of view, stones can be divided into two categories: heavy stones and light stones.
Heavy stones are stones that have a density of about 1.8 grams per cubic centimeter, while if the density of a stone is less than this value, it is placed in the category of light stones.
🟠 The porosity and adhesion
Another feature that distinguishes these stones is their adhesion and porosity. If the porosity of the stone is at an optimal level, it will have sufficient adhesion and its strength and resistance will be strengthened.
Stones that have a lot of porosity will also have more adhesion, for example, travertine from the category of porous stones and granite. It is considered one of the rocks with low porosity.

🟠 Compressive resistance and softening coefficient
Among the other important features that can be checked in the building rubble stone, it is possible to mention the measurement of the pressure resistance that the stone can withstand and the softening coefficient as well as the type of stone (aerial, sedimentary and calcareous).
