The shape of the body is almost spindle-shaped, the scales are large, the color of the back of the body is gray and the belly is light gray. It feeds on filamentous algae and plants. The food conversion factor of this fish is about 20 to 25. According to the location of the region, in the late winter and early spring, when the water temperature is approximately 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, the feeding of Amur starts and in the autumn season, when the water temperature reaches this level, it is stopped. This fish plays an important role in controlling weeds on the bottom and walls of the pool. Its cultivation rate in breeding ponds is 5 to 10% of the total fish population.
