In general, this network equipment is divided into two categories, active network equipment and passive network equipment:
⚡️ passive network equipment (Passive Products)
Equipment Passive network or inactive equipment that cannot be programmed and cannot make changes to the information or content exchanged in the network. Part of the equipment that is used for the installation and configuration of network hardware is included in this category. The activity of this equipment is done without the need of electric power. Passive equipment includes network connector, network connections, duct, network rack, network cable and network patch cord.
⚡️ Active Network Equipment (Active Products)
Active network equipment is the equipment in which electronic activity takes place and the information entered into them depends on the programmed conditions. For the device, it is processed and exchanged. The activity of this equipment requires electric current. Active equipment includes network card, network switch, router, firewall, modem and access point.
