If you look carefully at the devices and equipment around you, you will notice that many of these devices are made up of several parts. Some of these parts are made of plastic and others are made of metal. Most of the parts that make up the devices have a simple structure. These parts are connected to their adjacent parts by screw connections, welding, etc. However, a number of parts or even devices have a complex but integrated structure. You may have a question about how to make complex and integrated parts. Diecast or pressure casting is one of the possible answers to this question.

What are the types of casting methods?

Among the most widely used methods of casting and making metal parts, we can refer to the die-casting method (pressure casting), gravity casting in the mold, sand casting and precision casting.

Of course, it is possible. The implementation of the casting process in other ways, such as low pressure casting, centrifugal casting, vacuum casting, percussion casting, last foam casting and continuous casting.

What is Dycast or Pressure Dasting?

Die casting is one of the most widely used methods of mass production of complex metal parts in various industries. The production of metal parts (metalworking) by the die-casting method follows the general principles of casting.

This method during the melting process, pouring the molten material into the mold (injection) and changing the phase of the material from liquid to solid (freezing) ) will be done. Pressure casting is used in the production of simple to complex parts in various industries such as automobile manufacturing, aerospace, industrial machinery manufacturing, jewelry making, sculpture, etc.

It is Daika's history

In the middle of the 19th century AD (early 13th century AD), the capabilities of the printing industry were accompanied by great progress and development. The invention of pressure casting equipment was one of the factors influencing the growth of this industry. At that time, typewriters consisted of many parts for typing letters, punctuation marks and numbers. The die-casting process significantly increased the manufacturing speed of these parts and their quality (in terms of dimensional uniformity). This advanced process reduced the number of production errors and increased the speed of assembling parts. The successful application of pressure casting in the printing industry drew the attention of other industries to this new manufacturing method.

The first equipment used to perform pressure casting was a small machine operated by hand. This device was invented in 1838 (1217) The casting process by this device was performed by melting a combination of tin and lead and pouring the molten alloy into a steel mold. The mold used in this process was known as "Die". After cooling and solidification of the alloy, a piece in the form of a mold cavity was obtained. The piece resulting from this process was called "casting". For this reason, the pressure casting process is known as "Die Casting". Of course, Persian-speaking experts and craftsmen use the term diecast to refer to this process.

What is the use of Dikast?

Pressure casting is one of the most efficient methods of manufacturing parts with complex shapes, integrated structure, precise dimensions, quality surface, high strength and appropriate hardness. For this reason, this method is widely used in the production of industrial equipment parts and consumer goods, especially car parts. In general, about 60% of die cast parts are used in the automotive industry. This method is also used in the aerospace industry, electronic equipment, home appliance manufacturing, and jewelry making.

Diecast wheels, diecast lights (urban lights, diecast chandeliers), diecast dishes (such as diecast pots), diecast radiators, and many others. Industrial and non-industrial metal parts are among the things that are made by pressure casting method.
