Damaged tiles

Sometimes you may have to replace damaged tiles. Don't worry, replacing them is fairly simple, just follow the steps below:

- Using a special trowel, chip away the old grout around the damaged tile. Be sure to do this slowly to avoid damaging any of the other tiles.

- Drill 5 holes in the tile, 4 holes in the 4 corners of the tile and 1 hole in the center. (If the tile is big, you probably need more holes). Make sure that you only pierce the tiles themselves and do not damage the surface under the tile.

- Connect the created holes in an x shape with the help of a pen and a hammer. This will loosen parts of the damaged tile.

- Don't be too rough, you may damage the surrounding tiles.

- After removing the damaged tile, smooth the old adhesive until the bottom surface is completely smooth.

- Apply the adhesive to the back of the new tile, this is easier than applying the adhesive directly to the surface.

- Place the tile on the surface and press it down to make sure it sticks.

- Adjust the tile before re-stitching.
