Have you ever had trouble in the bathroom or when washing dishes due to the automatic closing of the lever valve?! In such a case, after opening the water, the handle of the lever valve slowly returns to its original state, i.e. the closed state, and the water flow is gradually reduced and finally cut off. There are various reasons for the faucet to become dirty or the valve lever handle to loosen, which ranges from loose cartridge nut and cartridge failure to problems with the cartridge being placed in the chamber. In this article, the types of causes of the water faucet being dirty and the step-by-step steps of its repair have been examined.

Weaving the faucet (lever batch loosening)

Sometimes the valve handle may move too smoothly and loosely. In this case, when you turn on the water, the valve handle slowly returns to its original position and the valve closes automatically. Such a problem is called the so-called junk faucet and it is very annoying! The good news is that you can repair your lever valve by finding the cause of the faucet malfunction.

Cause

The faucet is dirty is one of the problems that may occur in lever faucets. If you have the right tools and a little patience, you can solve this problem yourself at home. The cause of the faucet being dirty or the lever handle loosening can be one or all of the following:

- Too loose of the cartridge nut
- Cartridge failure
- Problems in turning The location of the cartridge inside the valves
- too heavy and unusual lever handle

The weeding of the faucet due to the loosening of the cartridge bead

One of the causes of the faucet being dirty can be the looseness of the cartridge nut. During the assembly of sanitary valves or after repairs, the nut of the cartridge may not be closed tightly enough; As a result, it will cause the faucet to become dirty.

The lever valve cartridge is actually the center for regulating the temperature and pressure of the outgoing water flow. In its structure, this piece has two polished ceramic surfaces that are sealed together. Each of these two surfaces has three ducts (two inlet ducts and one outlet duct) which normally do not coincide with each other and do not allow the flow of water to enter and exit. By opening the valve and adapting these channels, cold or warm water first enters this part through the two inlet channels of the cartridge and then exits the cartridge through the third channel, which is related to the outlet water towards the toilet or toilet hose. p>

The handle of the cartridge is connected to the handle of the lever valve, and the amount of input of each of the two streams of cold and hot water is determined by moving the handle of the lever by the users. Naturally, the colder or hotter the water entering the cartridge is, the colder or hotter the output will be.

A loose cartridge nut is the most common cause of faucet waste. The cartridge nut is the part that fastens onto the cartridge to secure it in place. This nut actually determines the tightening of the lever valve or the waste of the water valve. If the clamping pressure of the cartridge nut is too low, the two polished ceramic surfaces in the cartridge easily slide over each other and the cartridge handle cannot support the weight of the lever valve handle attached to it. As a result, the handle of the lever valve looks loose and the faucet becomes dirty. But if the pressure of closing the cartridge nut is too much, the ceramic surfaces of the cartridge lose the ability to move on each other due to the pressure and the handle of the lever valve tightens. The proper pressure to tighten the cartridge nut is 8 to 12 Nm, which is measured with a tool called a torque meter.
