What is Polyethylene?
polyethylene It is a type of thermoplastic polymer (it melts due to heat and becomes hard or solid again after cooling) which has a variable crystal structure and is used for different purposes depending on its type. /span>
types of polyethylene
There are different types of polyethylene, each of which is used for different purposes and is classified based on branch and density. The most common ones are:
branch polyethylene
Low density polyethylene or (LDPE) which is called light polyethylene Linear low density polyethylene or (LLDPE)

Linear Polyethylene
High-density polyethylene (HDPE), which is called heavy polyethylene Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE).
Cross Polyethylene
Note: In addition to the 3 items that we mentioned, there are other types, we will discuss them in detail in other articles. Medium density polyethylene (MDPE) Very low density polyethylene (VLDPE) High molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE) Ultra low molecular weight polyethylene (ULMWPE) • Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE)
What is Heavy Polyethylene and what are the uses?
Heavy polyethylene is a cost-effective thermoplastic with a linear structure and no branching or a low degree of branching, which is produced at a low temperature of 70 to 300 degrees Celsius and a pressure of 10 to 80 bar, and is obtained from the following two items: - Refinement of natural gas (a mixture of methane, ethane, propane) Catalytic conversion of crude oil to gasoline Polyethylene is heavy, flexible, waxy and transparent, weather resistant and very stiff at very low temperatures.
Heavy polyethylene for packing trays, boxes, milk bottles and fruit juice, lids of food packages, jam cans, drums, garbage containers, ice boxes, fishing/agricultural/sports nets and decorative and industrial products and... and even used for pipes and protection of telecommunication cables.
The most used polyethylenes include the following is:
Polyethylene 0035: It is a type of HDPE that has high impact resistance, low temperature, good stiffness and abrasion resistance. Polyethylene 0035 is used to produce parts with an air molding process, such as all kinds of inflatable plastic containers, Rika cans and wet cans.
Polyethylene f7000: It is a type of high density polyethylene that is used to produce thin films.
polyethylene pe100: polyethylene pe100 is a heavy polyethylene that is suitable for producing high pressure pipes such as water, gas, sewage, etc. due to its high resistance span>
