Marble is actually a sedimentary limestone that is different from marble. Marble is composed of calcium carbonate, calcite, dolomite, and crystal, which is divided into three categories: crystal, cloud, and porcelain. This natural building stone has minerals that make marble stones have a wide variety of colors.
🔸hemotite or manganese carbonate, which causes the formation of red color.
Marble characteristics
Since marble is a limestone, you shouldn't expect this stone to be as strong as travertine and granite. Marble is one of the soft stones that is cut in the mine and in the factory with soft saws.
But the fact that the stone is soft does not mean that it is easily cracked and crushed. In the process of processing this stone, glue and resin or epoxy are used behind the stone to increase its resistance.

Application of marble
The most common use of marble stone is that it is used as flooring and internal stairs of the building. But today, this stone is used as a slab stone for wall and floor decoration, for kitchen cabinets and counters, bathroom sinks, etc. Dark marble stones such as Najaf Abad black marble, Karniko marble, golden black marble, ... they are used in the size of slabs for the lobby of hotels and luxury buildings, because they double the beauty of the space.
