In the introduction of types of elevators, based on the type of building, elevators are divided into 6 groups: hospital elevators, types of residential elevators, agricultural elevators, industrial elevators, and special parking lot elevators.
1- Hospital lifts
They are divided into flat elevators and stretcher elevators. Hospital elevators are used to move patients who use wheelchairs. One of the most important points about these elevators is that they must move smoothly and slowly. These elevators consume very little electricity and can be used even without electricity. These elevators are mostly two entrances in the cabin in two parts. The size of the stretcher elevators is smaller than the flat-bed elevators, according to the engine room, these elevators can be hydraulic or traction type. These elevators are used to transport patients, medical teams, nurses and hospital staff, which must move smoothly and slowly and also produce little noise.

2- Residential lifts
Compared to other elevators, they have smaller sizes. Passenger elevators or home elevators are used to transport residents of two-story buildings. These elevators can be used inside the building or outside the building in the form of glass, electric, hydraulic or cable.
3- Lift elevators on the stairs path
This type of elevator is used for people who have difficulty climbing stairs. This type of elevator is moved using special rails along the stairs, which can move people in a straight and smooth path as well as in a curved path.

4- Vertical wheelchair elevators
Use these types of elevators if there is not enough space inside the building. These elevators can be designed to have two entrances in two parts of the cabin.
5. Small freight elevators
These elevators are used to carry things that are usually installed next to the wall. Freight elevators have a movable frame in the elevator pit, which is moved with cables and rails, a small cabin inside the pit.
6. Special agricultural elevators
These elevators are used to transport freshly harvested agricultural products and are usually used to move heavy products into warehouses and silos. These elevators can move horizontally, vertically or inclined using chains or belts. If the agricultural elevators have horizontal or inclined movement, they are called centrifugal unloading elevators, which are the most common types of agricultural elevators that are controlled by centrifugal force. This type of elevator has a lower speed and the carrying container or buckets are close together.
