An elevator or lift is a moving room that can be used to go from one floor to another or to go down. In fact, the elevator can be considered as one of the vertical transport equipment that facilitates the movement of people or equipment between floors. The elevator usually moves the cabin vertically with the help of an electric motor. In general, in the current building construction, which is more inclined towards multi-story building and large residential complexes, the use of elevators is very extensive and sometimes necessary, to the extent that apartments without elevators are less likely to attract customers. Nowadays, elevators are installed even for two-story buildings in order to make them more luxurious and increase their facilities. In this regard, it should be noted that the term "lift" is mostly used to refer to the category of machines that are used, for example, in building construction to carry goods and people to a height, or in production lines to transfer goods and leveling. and what is used in the space of a building today is called an elevator.

A Brief History of Elevators
Elevator was originally a device consisting of a cabin that was pulled by a rope by humans or animals. This tool, which was made by Archimedes about 236 years before Christ, had a basic use, but later and due to its practicality, this type of system was also used in palaces. After this period, it can be acknowledged that the first passenger elevator was built in 1743 by the order of Louis XVI and later in the industrial revolution, its shape became more advanced and at the same time more practical. In the direction of more curiosity, it can be stated that this device was first seen by Naser al-Din Shah during his trip to Farang, and then he liked it, and after returning to Iran, this king ordered the construction of the first elevator in Golestan Palace, and this is how the first elevator was built. The elevator was born in Iran.
