In this unit, there is a two-way casting tower called TURRET, which can rotate around its axis, and after placing the crucible on the tower and rotating, it is placed on the middle crucible called Tandish. This middle crucible accommodates about 40 and 60 tons of molten steel and its task is to convert a molten output line of the crucible into two casting lines. Its other function is that when the full crucible is replaced with an empty crucible, a source of melting reserve acts to feed the casting lines so that the casting process continues continuously.

Casting molds are made of copper. It is cooled by water and by moving the small plates of the mold, it is possible to change the width of the table from 650 to 2000 mm according to the customer's request. After passing through the mold and freezing its outer wall, the melt takes a flat shape and passes through the rollers by passing through an arc with a radius of 10.5 meters and an average speed of 1 meter per minute. It is cut in sizes of 9 to 11 meters (long takthal) or 4.5 to 4.75 meters (short takthal). The thickness of these beds is 200, 220 and 250 mm and with a minimum weight of 3.5 and a maximum of 43 tons.
