Introduction of geomembrane sheet

What is the geomembrane?

Geomembrane is a type of resistant insulation made of soft PVC or polyvinyl chloride (polyethylene). These insulations are very flexible and practical, and unlike many other insulations, you will not need infrastructure to install them. In other words, just fill the bed with soft soil and install the geomembrane sheets on it. To form or glue the geomembrane sheets together, they use the high heat emitted by the welding machine.
These insulators have high impermeability and almost nothing can pass through them. This product is mostly used in the insulation of subway tunnels, swimming pools, water and chemical tanks, roof gardens, elevator shafts, transmission tunnels, etc.

geomembrane applications

In general, the applications of these sheets are classified into three general groups: According to these three categories, geomembrane sheets can be used for a wide range of applications. Some of the applications of geomembrane sheets are: Agricultural tanks, canals, tankers, prefabricated tanks, sewage treatment plants, discharge boats, fish farms, chicken farms and Animals, golf courses and...
🔹 Municipal waste landfills, leachate treatment boats, mining waste boats and water treatment plants.
🔹 Leakage protection system in petrochemical industries, airports and port areas, Storage of industrial wastes and...
🔹in civil works such as roads, walls, tunnels, railways and...
🔹Covering of swimming pools, wetlands, artificial lakes and...
🔹Covering of oil reserves , stockpiles of chemicals and...
🔹Insulation of swimming pools including fish breeding
🔹Agricultural industry (to cover earthen pools in order to store water for irrigation)
🔹Isolation of tunnels and mines
🔹covering water reservoirs
🔹as an insulation sheet on the bottom of artificial lakes
🔹garbage and urban waste disposal systems

Benefits of Geomembrane sheet

The most significant advantages of geomembrane sheets are:

They have a very high level of chemical and thermal resistance;
They have a very high useful life;
The cost of buying and installing them is lower than other insulation materials and methods; they are very resistant to possible impacts; they are resistant to acids and most liquids. They also maintain their resistance in water up to 100 degrees Celsius; they have flexibility even at low temperatures; they are light in weight; they are resistant to subsidence or earthquakes. they don't tear;
🔹 they have tensile strength;
🔹 they have less installation time; On the surface of these sheets, algae, moss and other materials do not stick.
🔹Resistant to the ultraviolet rays of the sun in the long term
🔹Stability without changing its nature in very low to very high temperatures (between -70 and +80 degrees Celsius)
🔹High resistance against environmental factors
🔹Ability to carry out repairs on it
🔹When used in pools, moss and algae no longer stick to the walls and floors.
🔹The time to build a pool with geomembranes is much shorter than the methods that have been used in the past.
