Alloy rebar, which is made of alloy steel, is one of the most important products of the steel industry and is widely used in the construction of buildings and industrial products. Alloy rebar is produced by different methods and as a result, it is available in the market with different models. Also, the technical specifications and characteristics of alloy bars are different according to their constituent elements. But in general, alloy bars are a combination of iron and carbon and other elements such as zinc, nickel, vanadium, molybdenum, manganese and silicon with different percentages.

Alloy Rebar Production Standards

For the production of rebar, there are various standards in the world, the most important of which are the standards of AISI, SAE, ASTM, DIN, BS, JIS, Gost, each of which is used in certain countries.
< For example, it can be said that the JIS standard is related to Japan. In Iran, the Russian Gost standard and the Iranian national standard are usually used.

What are the types of alloy rebar?

1- Types of alloy bars based on the percentage of carbon

Alloy bars are divided into 2 low-alloy and high-alloy groups according to the amount of carbon used in their composition. become This classification is due to the construction of rebar from low-alloy steel and high-alloy steel. It is interesting to know that the difference between low-alloy and high-alloy steel is conventional; So that some sources consider the difference between these two steels to be 4%, while others consider it to be 8% (which means that low-alloy steel has up to 8% alloy and high-alloy steel has more than 8% alloy). But you should know that in general, alloy rebar means low-alloy rebar. 2- Types of alloy rebar based on constituent elements (alloy type) > This category depends on the percentage of the rebar alloy. According to the type of alloy used in the production of alloy steel bars, they can be divided into the following categories:

- Vanadium-containing alloy steel
- Tungsten-containing alloy steel
- Alloy steel Chromium alloy steel - Nickel alloy steel - Manganese alloy steel - Molybdenum alloy steel - Cobalt alloy steel 3- Types of alloy bars Basis of naming

Rebars can be classified according to their name into M040, 70CR2, CK45 and CK15 rebars, each of which has the following characteristics:

✨ Alloy rebar CK45: It is one of the most common medium carbon rebars in the construction industry, which is also known as Sika 45 rebar. (About 0.45% of carbon is used in this steel) Its features include high resistance to impact, friction and generally high strength. ✨ M040 alloy rebar: another alloy Steel, also known as 1.7225 steel, is an M040 alloy. The rebar made from it is also called M040 alloy rebar. This alloy bar is made of a combination of steel with nickel and chrome. The combination of these two elements increases the rebar's resistance to wear several times. Note that these rebars are not suitable for welding.

The differences between the M040 alloy rebar and the Sika 45 rebar can be mentioned in terms of malleability and malleability and higher price.

✨ Rebar 70CR2 alloy: Among the features of this alloy rebar, we can mention its corrosion resistance, high machinability, and its dimensional stability due to its property of not absorbing moisture. This type of alloy rebar is widely used in the industry. It is also used to make things like bearings, bolts and nuts, bushings, gears, mandrels, as well as fishing rods and knives. . Therefore, it should be said that its strength and hardness is average. On the other hand, it has great resistance to wear.

Application of Alloy Rebar

Alloy rebars are used in various industries, and this issue completely depends on their composition and production method. For example, it should be said that CK45 and CK15 alloy bars can be used in the construction industry. They are also used for storage tanks, high pressure liquid and gas transmission lines. On the other hand, M040 rebar is used in the manufacture of steel industry rollers and connecting rods.
