Antenna is probably the simplest tool for receiving radio waves or wave sending devices, but it also plays an important role so that without it, signals cannot be received or sent. Modern antennas are used in most devices due to their ability to receive waves with different frequencies, but it is interesting to know that the technology of the most basic type of antennas was invented at the end of the 19th century. At that time, antennas were used to show the waves Electromagnetics exist. The owner of the idea of using antennas was Heinrich Hertz, a German scientist whose name is used today as the frequency unit of waves. The use of radio waves for normal functions took a serious form in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Guglielmo Marconi tested various antennas in terms of shape and size, gradually moving them away from the transmitter until in 1902 he succeeded in sending a signal from the Atlantic to an antenna located in Newfoundland, Canada.

How do the antennas work?

Antennas are simply electrical conductors that connect to a transmitter or receiver. Conductor means a piece of metal, copper or aluminum. In devices where there is an antenna, you may only see a thick piece of plastic, but the plastic is used for three reasons; First, it protects the very thin wire and prevents it from bending. Secondly, the wire should not be physically damaged and thirdly, it should not wear out. Many antennas, such as telescopic radio antennas, do not have such covers. Radio waves usually occupy space in the electromagnetic spectrum with frequencies ranging from approximately 10 kHz to 100 GHz. For example, FM radio has a frequency of 87.5 to 108 MHz, while Wi-Fi has 900 MHz, 2.4 and 3.65 GHz. The main responsibility of the receiver antennas is often to hear the frequency of the radio waves, which are calibrated by the tuner, and the transmitter antennas also send signals. They do that the toner specifies. That's why thousands of thousands of radio, television, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G and . . . It is broadcast in space. The interesting point is that the radio receives only one type of signal.
