Pool Construction Principles:
When building a pool, the following should be considered first.
1- Preparation of topography map
2- The physicochemical conditions of water should be described precisely.
3- Air and water temperature changes and water flow changes throughout the year should be determined.
4- Ownership of water and land and the communication route should be investigated.
5- Overall estimate of the plan and examination of problems and bottlenecks
6- Approximate examination of fixed and current costs and economic benefit of the plan
Water Physico Properties:
1- The temperature should be between 18-32 degrees Celsius, of which 22-28 degrees Celsius is the most suitable.
2- PH should be between 2.8-6.8.
3- Oxygen should be between 6-8 mg/liter.
4- Carbon dioxide should not be high, maximum 5 mg/liter
5- Iron and chlorine should not be more than 1 mg per liter.
The salinity level is about 3 grams per thousand
Soil properties:
1-Be neutral or in balance with water.
2- Rich in potassium, phosphorus and nitrogen.
3- If possible, the soil should not be sulfated, because it causes the water to become acidic.
4- The soil should have enough clay.
General features of the pool:
1- The large length of the pool should be east-west.
2- The slope of the pool floor from the entrance to the exit should be 2 to 3 per thousand.
3- The slope of the pool floor from the sides to the middle drain should be three per thousand.
4- The slope of the walls should be 1:4 to 1:8, the road on the embankment is about two meters.
5- There should be a distance of two meters between the drain and the base of the wall.
6- The slope of the inner surface of the wall should be 1:2, but in large pools where the effect of wind is high or in pools
which are made of light soil, the slope can be reduced to 1:4 and the external slope is 1:2.
Necessary measures to build a pool:
1- Land mapping.
2- bush carving.
3- Marking to determine the area of the pool.
4- Measuring and marking for building embankments.
5- Collecting vegetable soil.
6- If necessary, digging the bottom of the pool.
7- Construction of walls.
8- Construction of inlet and outlet valves.
