How is the process of production and injection of polyurethane?

To inject these two materials into the mold, the ratio of the combination of these two materials is determined by the expert operator, and with the help of pumps that operate at a certain pressure, both of these materials enter the mold at a certain rate. After the release of isocyanate and polyol from their reservoirs, they come into contact with each other. This contact occurs in the mixing chamber. Isocyanate and polyol enter the mixing chamber at an operating pressure between 0.1 and 5 MPa.

Polyurethane foam is formed as a result of the contact between these two materials. There is a mixer inside the mixing chamber that mixes isocyanate and polyol to produce polyurethane. During the mixing process, with the help of aeration, the process of combining these two materials continues better.

Next, after the formation of foam, it is moved to the desired location. During the polyurethane transfer process, an expansion process occurs in the foam and its volume increases. In this way, the desired place in the mold is completely filled with polyurethane foam and the desired geometry is created. The correct setting of the pumps operation pressure shows its importance here. If their pressure can be adjusted in the right conditions, the smallest pore will not be created in the place of the mold and all the pores will be filled with foam.
