Glazed tile
The difference between tiles and ceramics is in their glaze. Some ceramics are glazed and some are not! But a tile must have glaze. To bake the glazed tile, firstly, the raw materials of the tile are placed in the baking ovens, and then after the tile is baked and hardened, it is taken out and the glaze is applied on it. Then finally, the glazed tile is put into the oven to bake again. In fact, the firing of glazed tiles is a two-step process.
Mosaic tile
Another type of tile is the mosaic tile, which has a very small size (at least 5 cm). This tile can be produced both with and without glaze. The type of glazed mosaic tiles is mostly porcelain. In this way, its absorption rate will be very low and it will be very suitable for environments such as swimming pools and bathrooms.

Tile clay
Another one of the best types of tiles is clay tiles, which happen to be unglazed and made of ordinary clay and often have a red color. The main feature of these tiles is that they are baked at a very high temperature to remove their imperfections and make them more resistant. Clay tiles or mineral tiles are produced in dimensions of 15 to 30 cm and with a thickness equal to 5.1 cm.
Tile pavement
Another mineral tile that is made of red clay is stone pavement tile. This type of tile is also baked at a very high temperature and has good resistance to different weather conditions. Of course, it should be noted that its thickness is also high.
